With over 10 years of experience in editorial and communications-centric roles, I understand how to employ language both tactically and poetically.

I am currently a freelance editor and writer working with organizations, brands, and startups to create insightful and polished product copy, marketing campaigns, and editorial content.

In my recent role as Director of Creative Resources at The Creative Independent, I conceived of and edited the popular Guides and Tips series, in addition to writing newsletters, conducting interviews, compiling zines, and commissioning and editing special projects (like the widely referenced Music Industry Investigation Report, and the Study on the Financial State of Visual Artists Today). In my past role directing Kickstarter's editorial initiatives, I led a team of seven and was responsible for overseeing the organization's vast content ecosystem, including editorial features, newsletters, social media, brand copy, and creative campaigns. Before Kickstarter, I was part of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art's Marketing & Communications team, where I oversaw the institution's digital communications, collaborated on multimedia content and PR initiatives, and wrote for Open Space, SFMOMA's blog. I've also written for numerous arts and culture publications, including the Pioneer Works Broadcast, SFAQ, Art21, Complex Magazine, and the Are.na Annual.

If you could use help overhauling your organization or brand's editorial strategy, polishing your website, product, or email copy, or making your communications strategy more impactful—reach out.
